"Work"
Every morning Mommy and Daddy take me to school so that I can not only further my educational pursuits, but also so that they can go to "work". Lately I have been wondering what this "work" stuff is all about so I thought I would try to imagine their day from what they tell me.
Daddy says that he has a big boss that he has to answer to all day long.
Mommy says that at her job, there is lots of competition and friendly rivalry, she also says that the girls always win.
Daddy says that you have to play the odds when you can, but also take your chances with blind luck to see if you can be a winner.
Mommy and Daddy both said that they eat lunch at work. I wonder what kind of food they have, I get stuff like Beans and Franks, but since Mommy and Daddy are grown ups, I bet they get cool stuff like -
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Waffle Balls.

Yep, I think that is what "Work" is like. I am starting to think that I am allowing Mommy and Daddy to have too much fun while I am busy learning every day! I will have to discuss our arrangement with them soon to see if I can get in on this "work" thing!

Pumpkin Patch Again
My Mommy and Daddy are obsessed with these things called "Pumpkin Patches" and we went to visit another one this weekend. It was very large and they had lots of pumpkins. I asked Daddy what the difference between a Farm and a Patch was and Daddy said that a farm was where crops were planted as seeds, nourished with sunlight, fertilizer, and water and encouraged by the farmer to grow so that he can make a living. A patch is where all of the crops that no one really wants to eat are hacked off their vines and taken to an open field where they are lined up in neat rows for touristy city folks to come take pictures and think they are getting back to "nature". I think that Patches seem like more fun!
For some reason they line all of the pumpkins up with the pointy end up in the air. As you can see in the next picture, I found out that they make much better seats if you just roll 'em over!

They also had a cute little "jail" that daddy took my picture in. I do not think it is going to hold anyone, look how much room there is between the bars.
After a long day at the patch I found a swing that someone was considerate enough to scale to my smaller stature. I relaxed and enjoyed the great outdoors while Mommy and Daddy looked at the endless rows of Pumpkins.

Time flies when you're having fun...
What happended to September? I can't believe I let a whole month pass without updating my fans. I guess you get what you pay for, after all... membership is free. So here is what you've missed...
Schools back in session... I started school again right after Labor Day. It was a tough adjustment, but Daddy is finally coming around. What can I say, he doesn't like to share me with very many people. My teacher, Miss Mia is great. Our class picture should be ready in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
My grandma Pancho and Uncle Bob celebrated their birthdays in September. Uncle Bob turned thirty in style. We had a Babe's Chicken Buffet and carrot cake. After all that fried yummy goodness, Mommy wanted to make sure we ate our veggies too.
Hurricane Ike made a visit to Houston. Thank you Aunt Ladonna for taking in Pancho and Lefty. I heard your house is the best place to ride out a storm. Hope Uncle Trent is feeling better these days.
As soon as power was restored in Houston, my 祖母 moved back. After 11+ months, I guess 祖母 had as much as she could stand of Mommy and Daddy.
Now it's all up to me to keep Mommy and Daddy busy. We started with the All About Uptown Festival. I took some time to sign a few autographs and leave my mark, before we jumped aboard the McKinney Avenue Trolley.
