Long time no see!

Greetings! It has been quite a wile since I updated and I know that it has caused some distress among my fanbase. I want to first assure you all that I am doing quite well, just staying super busy. I thought that for this post I would give you an update on what all I have been up to.

I took Mommy and Daddy to the Dallas Museum of Art. I am trying to instill some cultural awareness in them, but Daddy was upset that there was not a "Science Fiction" Section.

It was also quite an interesting winter. We got lots of this white stuff all over the place called "Snow". It seemed to be a pretty much foreign concept around here and the whole town pretty much shut down for a couple of days.

I also got in a quite enjoyable visit with my Pancho and Nanny. I took them to the park and we had a great time!

I have been having lots of fun at the park and I have become quite adept on the slides. Daddy asked me for a few lessons, but he just can't seem to hang with me.

I like to slide all different ways. Sometimes I go feet first, sometimes head first, and sometimes I just hang around for a bit.

In addition to my trips to the park, I also like to hone my riding skills.

I also like to do exhibitions of my performance art "Bubbles".

Another exciting event was the celebration of my 3rd Birthday. Mommy threw me an excellent shindig and we had a great time!

We had some delicious cake and I got to blow out my candle.

I got this super cool grocery cart and I also got a Cash Register complete with some greenbacks and some plastic money.

Mommy also made me some delicious cupcakes for my fellow classmates and I to celebrate with. She made lots but after Daddy found them I only had enough for each friend to have one. Fortunately, we had swell party hats, what is a party without a cool hat?

In the most recent news, Mommy took me on an Easter Egg hunt. It was a great time, but I think that I missed the part with the "Hunt". When we got to the field the eggs were just hanging out there, hundreds of them. I guess the older kids hunt them the day before and help us out by putting them where anyone could find them. I hope I get to do that part someday.

Well that about sums it up for now. As you can see, my school courseload, taking care of Mommy and Daddy, and my extracurricular activities take up a lot of time. I will be sure to update more often moving forward, I know how much you all miss me. :)

See you soon!

Trick or Treat!

This year I decided to participate in something called "Halloween". Apparently, it must not be good to participate in, because to do so you have to don a disguise to hide your identity. No idea what that is all about, but I decided to roll with it.

My Mommy picked an excellent costume that made me look event more super cute than I normally do! For those of you with poor eyesight, I am a Dalmatian Doggy and NOT a cow.

Once I was fully costumed up, Mommy and I hit the streets.

Mommy explained how this whole thing works. You just select a house, preferable with a light on, and go up to the door and knock. When the door opens, you say "Trick or Treat" which is a code phrase for "Can I have some Candy?"
Once you have the candy, you have to say Thank You so that you will be welcome again next year. After that, just go to the next house and repeat.
I hope that you all have had a safe and successful night! Don't eat too much candy and I hope you get to see me again soon!

Sleepytime

As many of you know, I was previously spending my beauty rest time in what is commonly known as a "Crib" which was scaled to my smaller stature. I have really been growing and Mommy and Daddy decided that it was time that I had a bigger bed for my Beauty sleep.

Mommy ordered me this beautiful Iron Sleigh Bed and the colorful linens. It was my first night and I was ready to go.

Mommy got me this cool Maia holder that goes on one side of the bed. I am a sound sleeper so she does not want me to roll out.
I really like my new bed and it is quite comfortable. Daddy said that I better thank Nanny and Pancho for my Mattress, so Thanks! Next time you all visit you will get to stay in what is called the "Room formerly known as Maia's room". I hope to see you soon!

Looking Good!

I was looking in the mirror the other day and I decided that it was high time that I got myself a trim. It has been at least 2 1/2 years since I had a haircut and the time was right for a new look.
I had Mommy do some research on a Salon that could cater to my needs and she selected the location called "Pigtails and Crewcuts". After a discussion to reassure Mommy that I had NO intention of getting a crewcut, we were on our way.

At this awesome Salon, you get to have your choice of seating to choose from. No boring old chairs here!

I was leaning toward the cute little plane at first, but I am built for speed so I took the hot Yellow number instead.

The nice lady took great care of me and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the process.

Here is my after picture, I hope that you like it! I no longer have hair in my eyes all the time, so the next time you come see me, I can finally see you back!

Up Up and Not Really Away

My Mommy and Daddy's friend Julie is a real, certified, and licensed hot air balloon pilot. I have seen many balloons in the past, but none that were large enough to need or have a pilot.

Mommy heard about something called the "Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival" and decided that we would go check it out. We both thought that it would be best to bring Daddy along in case any of the balloons ran low on the aforementioned hot air.

Little did we know how nuts these alleged "Pilots" are, they actually launch these things at 7:00AM! As you know, it takes more than some balloons to get me up that early from my beauty sleep, so we made a stop on the way for the best thing going, Donut holes!

The balloons were in all shapes and sizes. They had round ones, a Penguin, a Pirate, a Dragon, and a great big flower.

After carefully observing the inflating process (The big burners are cool!) I began to notice something odd. None of the balloons were going anywhere.
I asked Mommy what the deal was and she said that she did not know since she was not a certified Balloon pilot.

Well, despite the fact that there is exactly ONE control on these balloons, an UP button, they decided not to fly just to make me come back again. They said it was because the wind was blowing toward Dallas and it would be too dangerous, but I know better.
All in all it was a great time and we did get to see one balloon take off, please refer to the picture below for that. I will speak to you all again soon!

Breakfast

Sorry for a word heavy post today, but sometimes a girl just has to say what is on her mind! This morning my Daddy woke me up from a great dream and said that it was time for breakfast. He was nice enough to know that he could never understand the sophistication of my palate so he asked what I wanted.

My reply?

Fishsticks

At this point Daddy seemed confused and offered me Peanut Butter toast (A good thing in its own right). I said no and then he offered me cereal. I just could not seem to get him to understand my simple request.

I did finally settle on Cereal and when my sweet Mommy picked me up from school I respectfully gave her my request. When we got home she expertly prepared some delicious fishsticks right away.

Why do we artificially limit the order and time of day for our food? I like Fishsticks, Chicken Nuggets, Cookies, Gummies, and Ice Cream at any time of day but Daddy makes me wait until night time or after my other food for those things. Why does he set such artificial limitations! Not only that but I am actually ENCOURAGED to Broccoli and things like that all the time!

There is a great Frozen Yogurt shop right by our house and we pass it every day, but only go in on some Sundays. WHY! It's GREAT!

For those of you out there that understand, lets all stand up for our right to the good stuff!

Thank you and goodnight. :)
