Helping out 祖母

As some of you well know, my 祖母 is an excellent cook! She makes me great things all the time and when she visited me I got some of my favorites. 祖母 understands that I need my food to grow!

While we were visiting, 祖母 approached me with an offer to pass along her considerable culinary knowledge. She said that I seemed to have a natural talent.

The first item we decided that I would master is Dumplings. For those of you not in the know, those things that you get at the local Pei Wei are a pale imitation of the awesome stuff my 祖母 makes.

We started out with our Pork Mixture and our dumpling skins. As you can see, we both carefully stuffed the filling into the skins, gotta make sure they look appetizing!

You have to work quickly, the skins can start to stick together if they get too warm.

Here is a look at the finished product. As you can see, at this point, she made 8 and I assisted with 1. It was great to cook with 祖母, we had lots of fun and I hope that she will come and see me again soon.
